[ ...yeah, she's not the biggest fan of that initial ledger entry. ]

Saga Anderson
Warden
Current Assignment: Arthur Lester
-----------------------------------

I became acquainted with Mr. Wake before his arrival, as he is a resident of my world and I am responsible for helping him to escape a prison-like dimension found beneath Cauldron Lake in Bright Falls, Washington.

My grandfather and his brother claim to be friends with Mr. Wake, though I admit that I have never seen them together properly myself.

Mr. Wake and I have had a short but intense time working together and I would consider him to be someone with whom I share a bond. While this, of course, puts me into a position where I will recuse myself concerning any decisions around his care, I will state my recommendations here:
  • Do not take away his flashlight or his means of producing light at any time. It is not a threat to anyone, and removing it would make Wake more of a threat to others due to potential panic attacks and/or manic episodes.
  • Do not put him or allow him to be in dark places and if whenever possible, bring him to a well-lighted area if he appears to be having cognitive issues or emotional distress.
  • Mr. Wake will more than likely require close watch to ensure that he both sleeps and eats on a regular schedule. It's not that he's trying to be difficult; he will more than likely forget to do so.
  • Mr. Wake has lived outside of time and largely alone for an extended period and may have dissociative episodes or social awkwardness.
  • If you are unable to snap him out of an episode or panic attack, please contact me as he trusts me and I should be able to assist you without incident.
I will also note that I have added a significant number of items to his room: a bed, a mini-fridge (to assist with his food issues), a changing screen, a dresser and clothes rack, a bookshelf, and electric lighting. I have also provided him a number of very bright glow sticks for emergencies, and I would ask that you continue to provide equivalent emergency supplies in the future.

If you have any further questions or concerns of a professional nature, I would be happy to help.

Note: my inmate, Mr. Lester, holds some enmity against Mr. Wake (which I have no doubt will be returned) for reasons which are personal to both of them. I have spoken to Mr. Lester about his behavior and intend to encourage both of them to keep their distance from one another as I do not see their difficulties being healed any time soon.
